Dr. Moses Korede Are’s Wake-Keep Held in Ogbomoso as Family Prepares for Final Farewell
Family, friends, and well-wishers gathered today in Ogbomoso to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Moses Korede Are, popularly known as Baba Gbenro, who passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 59.
The day was marked by a Wake Keep Service at House to House Prayer Ministries, followed by a Drama Night at True Worshippers Revivals Global Church, all in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The Wake Keep was an emotional gathering where attendees shared tributes and memories, reflecting on Dr. Are’s impactful life as a mentor, husband, father, and friend. Prayers and hymns filled the atmosphere as loved ones expressed their deep respect for the man who had touched many lives.
Drama Night Held at True Worshippers Revivals Global Church
The evening Drama Night was a creative celebration of his contributions to the Christian film industry and the gospel community. The program featured stage performances, songs, and a farewell message, highlighting Dr. Are’s influence in faith-based storytelling.
Evangelist Joseph Adepoju delivered a heartfelt message, while Pastor Adebayo, the General Overseer of True Worshippers Revivals Global Church, led the closing prayers.
The event drew several dignitaries from the gospel film industry and the Christian community, including Evangelist Isaac Femi Akintunde, Dr. Adeoye Omoniyi, Evangelist Yemi Adepoju, Evangelist Seyi Pedro, Evangelist Sola Oyin-Adejobi, and Evangelist Kayode Babalola.
As preparations for his final farewell continue, the Burial Service is set to take place tomorrow, January 31, 2025, at 9 AM at House to House Prayer Ministries, Papa Adeyemo, Ogbomoso. After the service, his remains will be laid to rest at his residence in Orita Aje, Iresa Apa.
A reception will follow at Havilla Event Center, Ogbomoso, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his remarkable life and lasting legacy.
